PhD in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo - 1995. Professor at Instituto de Física of Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Visiting Professor at University of São Paulo, at CNPEM - Campinas, at BYU - USA, and University of Exeter - England. Acting in theoretical calculations of Condensed Matter Physics, focusing on defects, surfaces and interfaces, nanostructures, and topological insulators. More than 80 scientific publications. Member of the National Graduate Committee of CAPES-Brazil 2013-2017. Research fellow of CNPq-Brazil 2007-present. Chair of Physics Institute 2013-2017.
